This Star sailing adventure gets an early departure from Port Allen on the West shore of Kauai. As we head towards Na Pali you’ll see views of Niihau, Polihale and the ridges of Kokee. The am departure generally means you have calmer conditions and virtually ensures an encounter with the massive pod of Hawaiian Spinner dolphins that cruise up the coast daily.
Generally they take a nearshore route up the entire coast then sail downwind offshore so you get a variety of views. On Na Pali you’ll see spectacular sea cliffs, numerous waterfalls and lava tubes. Kauai is the oldest of the main Hawaiian islands, and this carved coastline is the result of nearly 8 million years of exposure to wind, waves and rain. In addition to seagoing skills, our crew is knowledgeable in the history and legends of the ancient civilizations that once inhabited these verdant valleys.
After a relaxing and beautiful downwind sail, you will pull into one of their favorite remote snorkel spots. Here, we anchor, and passengers can get in the water, or simply relax. After snorkeling the crew prepares a delicious lunch in our onboard kitchen, which they serve with beer and wine (only available after snorkeling). Lastly, we’ll cruise home to Port Allen.

Attire: They suggest wearing your swimsuit and bringing layers (including a light jacket), sunblock, sunglasses, a towel and camera. You can always change onboard.
Facilities: The passengers enjoy large shaded cabin areas, comfortable cushioned seating, freshwater showers and clean restrooms.

Dress for Fun!
1. Helmet - They supply the Helmet to protect your noggin. Wearing a ballcap under the helmet helps keep the sun off your face too (you supply the ball cap)
2. Sunglasses - Sunglasses are approved just make sure they are strapped to your head for upside down hijinks.
3. T-shirt/Jacket - T-shirt and/or lightweight jacket. Be prepared for wind and occasional showers.
4. Sunscreen/Bug Spray - We highly recommend sunscreen when it’s sunny and bug spray when it’s cloudy.
5. Long Shorts - Long shorts or light pants. Shorts should be long enough to go under the harness (mid-thigh and longer are best). Ladies: short shorts aren’t the best idea...(chafing) Gentlemen, those athletic/basketball shorts can creep up...making it... awkward.
6. Closed Toe Shoes - Sturdy, comfortable closed-toe shoes you don't mind getting wet or dirty. Gotta love that Kauai red dirt! While Crocs and watersocks are technically "closed-toe shoes" they are not advisable, but acceptable.
